Performed back-to-back, The Last of Its Kind explores several moments-in-time where something is a “last,” having a special meaning to the person in that story regardless how serious or superficial it may seem to others, and Trunk Songs is a collection of songs that didn’t quite make it into the musicals they were originally written for. Both of these musicals were performed in a rehearsal studio venue, and with no lighting rig or stage lights available for use, the entire show was lit with eight alternative lighting sources. In addition to transforming the space into a cabaret-type setting, within each piece the lighting focused on supporting the emotions of each song and scene.
